Homestead Exemption |
|
The Homestead
Exemption for real property taxes exempts the first $25,000 of
appraised value for a single family home - (the application defines
it as the principal residence) for an owner who is age 65 or older
or who is permanently and totally disabled. Prior to July 2, 2007,
eligibility for the exemption was restricted through income tests. |
